Disability Management Coordinator

The Role

As a Disability Management Coordinator, you will provide essential support to Registered Nurse Case Managers in a fast-paced occupational health environment. This is a full-time, on-site role at Eisan’s client corporate office.

You will facilitate case intake by accurately capturing employee health information in the CORITY electronic medical records (EMR) system. Your healthcare knowledge is critical to ensuring effective disability case management and supporting a collaborative team environment. As the first point of contact for employees on disability, you will ensure timely and professional intake support, helping our clients deliver world-class occupational health services and keeping employees healthy and safe.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary liaison between stakeholders, which may include Senior Operational Executives, Human Resources, Health Services, treating Physicians, WCB representatives, Benefit/Insurance carriers, and Senior and Local Union Representatives, ensuring proper case management processes are followed.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all sensitive employee information when receiving and compiling data.
  • Accurately record and manage employee data in the Company’s EMR/IS system.
  • Assist with inter- and intra-departmental workflows and data reporting.
  • Support Case Managers in the intake of new cases using your healthcare assessment knowledge.
  • Assist business units with Worker’s Compensation claim-related tasks, including:
        • Uploading medical information from WCB emails into patient files on CORITY.
  • Uploading claims correspondence received via the WCB portal.
  • Assigning WCB cases to advisors.
  • Managing hearing loss claims from initiation to resolution in collaboration with internal stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) designation and active membership with LPNA.
  • Strong computer skills with experience in EMR systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to different stakeholder groups.
  • Experience in occupational health or human resources is an asset.
  • Experience managing Worker’s Compensation claims (any province) is an asset.
